We are looking to recruit a full time Hairdressing and Nails Tutor that can do more than just deliver accredited qualifications but can also engage and inspire students that have had little or no prior education. We need Tutors that believe people are capable of change and deserve a second chance in life.
Our Tutors work with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations. They ensure that the appropriate training plans are in place and that the advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of quality courses that engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential.
What are we looking for?
You should have a passion for what you do along with substantial experience in both Hairdressing and Nails. You will need to be an expert in your field and hold appropriate level 2 vocational qualifications in both subject areas.
Ideally you will have some experience in delivering vocational based training. A teaching or assessing qualification is desired but don’t worry if you haven’t got one, PeoplePlus will get you trainer qualified as part of your probation.
You should be able to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners from all ages, abilities and backgrounds, including learners with significant barriers to employment and training. You will need to be driven to deliver the best employer/industry led skills training and willingness to understand employer or industry requirements
