Maintenance Operative 

Full Time, 52 weeks per year 

Permanent Opportunity

£28,697 per annum 

 

Denstone College wish to provide an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our friendly and supportive maintenance team. You will be responsible for conducting and supporting with required maintenance tasks around the site. The working days will predominantly be Monday to Friday with potential, occasional call outs for emergency situations. If you are experienced in a maintenance role within a commercial setting, we would like to hear from you! 

 

Denstone College and The Prep at Denstone College are a leading independent school in rural Staffordshire. Beginning life as a school in 1873, Denstone College is a thriving, co-educational boarding and day school. situated close to Uttoxeter. We have our own preparatory school, which has recently moved onto the main campus, providing continuous education on the same site for pupils aged from 4–18. The school is part of the Woodard Corporation, and the Head is in membership of HMC.

 

The successful candidate will have: 

 

  • Have experience in a maintenance role within a commercial environment 
  • Experience of painting and decorating is desired 
  • Experience of working in a maintenance role within an education environment is desirable 
  • Working knowledge of trades such as plastering, painting and decorating, joinery, plumbing and electrical 
  • Ability to work on own initiative within given guidelines 
  • Ability to work as part of a team
