The ICT Governance, Change and Assurance Team engages with the business community across SCC and external partners to understand how technology can support their needs and ensure that they implement the right solution, gaining maximum benefits from their investments. Alongside work for business areas we have an extensive portfolio of technical projects.  We are looking for the right individual to assist the team in delivering this exciting and challenging work

Main Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a range of technical and business change projects under the guidance of the ICT Programme and Portfolio Manager and will be mentored by a Senior ICT Project Manager
  • Plan prepare and conduct meetings, workshops, training sessions and presentations for a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences of all levels
  • Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed against the Business Case and ensure that lessons learned are fully documented and shared
  • Assist in the management of costs, timescales and resources used and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
  • Contribute to the preparation of realistic project, resource and where required quality plans and track activities against the plans, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders and ICT PMO as appropriate, in line with the agreed ICT governance process and to keep Customers fully informed of progress

For this role the successful candidate must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities. A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
