Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education.  We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries. 

 

We are looking for a talented musician in residence to join our thriving music department.

You will be a creative and inspiring musician who is passionate about working with students who are eager to learn and challenge themselves. You will be fully involved in all aspects of the school; being an enthusiast for music and supporting the students so they can flourish in our broad curriculum.

Qualifications
• Experience of practical music making and enthusiasm for musicmaking at all levels.
• Experience in leading and directing ensembles
• Experience of British educational systems (state or independent schools; ABRSM exam systems, etc.)
• Experience of instrumental / vocal teaching
• Good degree or equivalent in music.
• Music technology qualification.
Skills
• Good IT and multimedia skills
• Good inter-personal skills
• Have an understanding of and commitment to, the general values and ethos of the school.
• A commitment to doing the best for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• A willingness to be involved with the broader activity programme of the school.
