Full time and permanent Kitchen vacancy available on a full time and permanent basis in a luxury hotel near Towcester, South Northamptonshire. Due to promotion and continued growth, we are now seeking a CDP (Chef De Partie) OR strong Commis Chef to work on a full time and permanent basis.
Salary £27’500 + overtime + excellent benefits.
Rota 5 out of 7 days per week, 45 hours per week, a mixture of shifts including evenings and weekends.
Possible onsite accommodation available for the right candidate.
The successful candidate:
• Must have experience of working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team
• Should be working as a Chef De Partie (CDP) or strong Commis Chef (min)
• Will be able to drive, hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to reliable vehicle
• Shall possess their own knives or have the means to purchase them (desirable)
• Might have prior experience of working for a fine dining restaurant (desirable)
• Can work as part of a team and build professional working relationships within the kitchen
• Could be looking for an opportunity to expand current kitchen knowledge and be seeking training or development opportunities
• Should be able to produce evidence of stable employment history in the form of an up to date CV and references
• Must possess a Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene certification
• May have worked in leisure, spa, golf resort, fine dining, luxury environments (desirable)
• Might have an in date enhanced DBS clearance (desirable)
• Could have been to culinary school and/or learned how to cook on the job
• Should be experienced in working with fresh produce (desirable)
• Will have a good palette for savoury and sweet food groups
• Must know their way around a commercial kitchen and not rely on ‘Chef Mic’
• Shall possess a natural initiative and have the ability to source solutions on their own as they arise
• Will be reliable, flexible, adaptable and communicative both verbally and in writing
