The Care Home Team has responsibility for the contractual management of approximately 600 contracts with independent providers of residential and nursing care home services. You will work as part of supportive team and full training will be given. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our existing team as a Care Home Contract Officer. It is an  opportunity to work in a busy, fast paced team whilst a colleague is on maternity leave, this is a fixed term contract.

Main Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for evaluation of new applications from providers to become contracted with the Council. You will also be responsible for the production Variations to existing contracts and produce reports to support the Care Home Team.  You will liaise with a variety of internal colleagues and also with our providers to address any queries they may have. 

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

For this role you will:

  • Have good communication and time management skills.
  • Be able to develop effective working relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Be able to use produce accurate work using a variety of computer systems. 

An understanding of social care and charging would be beneficial but isn’t essential as a training programme will be provided, as well as ongoing support and development.

Please note that we can be flexible when arranging the working pattern for this role which can be completed over three or five days.
