Landmarc Support Services are currently looking to recruit a Rural Estate Delivery Advisor to be based at Rosyth in Fife, Scotland.

Working as part of the Scottish and Northern Ireland Region Rural Teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for contractual delivery across the regions, providing technical advice and strategic guidance relating to the Rural Estate to ensure compliance with the contract, Joint Service Publications (JSPs) and statutory requirements. To be the bridge between core and additional works from a rural perspective.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that plans owned by the Head of Establishment are reviewed, updated and submitted for agreement and signature, these include the Integrated Rural Management Plan (IRMP), Rural Estate Task Schedule (RETS) and the Grounds Maintenance Plan (GMP).
  • To act as the regional focal point for delivery of forestry harvesting and marketing initiatives, liaising with head office and contractors as required.
  • To assist with the maintenance of the Asset Register and GIS as required and reporting monthly on statutory compliance of assets.
  • Be responsible for compliance such as natural/historic environmental plans and long term forestry management plans.
  • Identify opportunities for income generation and additional tasked works
  • To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the Rural Estate
  • To be a responsible member of the regional management team supporting other team members as required carrying out activities including, but not limited to, investigations, auditing, training, creating reports and analysing management information.
  • Provide technical guidance and support both regionally and nationally in relation to the delivery of the contract.
  • Review works arising ensuring that work is carried out by the most appropriate team, e.g. additional works, core contract, reactive maintenance, etc.
  • Travel throughout the Scottish & Northern Ireland regions to support the teams
The Ideal Candidate
  • Knowledge of Rural Estate Management gained through a Level 5 qualification such as NVQ in Agriculture, Forestry, Protected Sites/Species management or equivalent and proven experience
  • Knowledge of nature conservation, woodland management and sustainability
  • Ability to Comprehension of Health & Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level
  • Knowledge gained through membership of an appropriate professional body
  • Understanding of project work and the practicalities of delivery
  • Able to ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to across functions
  • Willing to travel between Scotland and Northern Ireland to deliver the contract
