This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced, collaborative environment where children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. The role is integral to realising our vision and you will lead a team of social workers, adopting our connections count, relationship-based practice model, in ensuring good quality services for children in care and subject to care proceedings. You will be responsible for delivering plans and service priorities, whilst ensuring high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children.

About you….

You will need to be a registered social worker with SWE and have significant post qualifying experience working with children and families in the statutory sector.

You will be able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children in care.

You will have strong leadership skills and be a good problem solver, supporting your team of practitioners to make best interest decisions for children in line with legislative, regulatory and best practice guidelines.

You will use management information systems to maintain effectively drive good performance and quality of the practice in your team.

You will demonstrate professionalism, leadership and accountability and possess excellent skills in problem solving, analys is and planning.
