Full time

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Starting salary of £42,915 per annum, with future progression opportunities to £45,656 per annum, plus essential Car User Allowance of £4,566 per annum

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Maintenance Managers to join our Team.

The roles will play a key part in supporting with housing functions but taking a particular lead for responsive repairs and empty homes in the geographic area -  ensuring a high level of service is achieved for our tenants and prospective tenants.

Some of the main duties of the role will be:

  • To deliver an effective and timely empty homes (voids) service both within assigned geographic area and working closely with peers to support the service across all Broadland properties.
  • To manage repairs and maintenance service issues and complaints to avoid becoming bigger issues.
  • To monitor operative performance and efficiency through reviewing data/evidence and post inspections. To ensure any performance concerns are addressed through appropriate route.
  • To take ownership for providing and delivering an efficient repairs service in own area, and supporting across all Broadland properties. Supporting with customer enquiries / satisfaction, quality assurance, efficient working and swift resolution of issues.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of GCSE level Qualification to include passes in Maths and English
  • A good knowledge of the general building/construction industry and an HNC or similar qualification
  • Managerial experience in repairs and maintenance with in-house delivery.
  • Ability to understand work with multiple trades
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements for repairs and maintenance and regulatory requirements for housing associations
  • Coordinating or managing projects, improving team processes and procedures and gaining the necessary employee buy-in

A driving licence is essential as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk is required. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
