Salary up to £34,000

12-month FTC / Secondment   

FT – 35 hours per week

Hybrid – London and Ashford Hubs

Due to Maternity Leave we have an internal secondment opportunity in the Trade Account Team for 12 months. In this role your primary focus will be to manage the day-to-day relationships with National and Regional Trade Agents to deliver commercial growth in line with business objectives.

You will be key to developing strong relationships with these existing agents and be able to spot new opportunities in the market.

You’ll work closely with partners both inside and outside of the business to identify and resolve operational issues and to consistently achieve our key performance indicators. Ultimately, as the Trade Account Manager you will also need to be focused on increasing sales, so therefore you will need to be result driven and self-motivated.

*You will be required to visit the London or Ashford Hub twice a week, the rest of the week you can work from home. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend a hub.

Main Responsibilities

Our Trade Account Manager will be fully responsible for the following;

  • Assisting with the reporting and presentation of the weekly performance slides for both ocean & river
  • Monitor and respond timely across the trade support and trade events inboxes
  • Work closely with the accounts team to iron out payment and commission queries
  • Manage any 1st stage trade consumer complaint resolution
  • Respond and manage any call backs to answer phone messages left on the trade support line
  • Offer ad hoc support at in person events such as travel shows, conferences and ship visits
  • Support the role of the Lead Account Manager while on annual leave
  • Be seen as the point of trade contact for rest of the business
  • Work alongside Lead Account Manager to further develop and look after trade account relationships

The Ideal Candidate

Our Trade Account Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Trade Sales practices as well as Saga processes and functions
  • Previous account management skills
  • Ability to develop key business relationships and influence at all levels
