Uniserve, the UK's largest independent Global Logistics provider, is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to join our growing team at the South Kirkby depot.

About the Role:

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing all Drivers and Admin staff, ensuring the smooth running of the transport operation during your shift (06:30am - 18:30pm). You'll work a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered 24/7.

What you'll do:

• Plan and optimise transport routes for cost-effectiveness, adhering to Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
• Lead and direct the transport planning team.
• Develop and approve optimal transport plans using customer IT software.
• Monitor transport management software and liaise with branch teams and customers regarding deliveries and any issues.
• Produce daily operational transport plans to ensure budget efficiency and a high-quality service.
• Oversee health and safety compliance within the department.
• Assist with project work to improve schedules and synergies.
