The iconic Castletown D-day Centre is searching for a Manager to join our team. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of our historic site and creating an exciting and memorable visitor experience for young and old!  As a Community Interest Company we're here for the benefit and pleasure of those around us and we take huge pride in the work we do.

What are the duties?

  • Leading the shifts and ensuring the smooth running of the museum compiling and distributing daily briefs for all team members and volunteers.
  • Creating the team rotas.
  • Ensuring standards are maintained throughout the day across our site.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the site, ensuring that all appropriate checks concerning staff and site safety have been adhered to.
  • Supporting with events.
  • Interacting with visitors including large parties, and  answering questions, explaining how things work, giving information and taking pics for happy families and having some fun.

What are we looking for?

  • You will ideally have experience in a similar role.
  • You will like taking on responsibility, take pride in your work and enjoy delivering work to high standards.
  • Experience of managing or supervising others in a previous job role. 
  • Respectful and inclusive communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to multi-task and remain calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Some level of basic technology skill - card machine, iPad, television and video
