What is the job role?

We are currently looking for warm, positive, and dedicated individuals to work in our Adult Social Care Services team, providing person-centred support to adults with a variety of complex needs at Eric Williams House. 

You will promote independence and personalised approaches in a safe, respectful, and dignified manner; giving people choice and control over the services they are using and ensuring the best possible outcomes for individuals.

Working alongside our dedicated team you will provide personal, practical, emotional, and social support to individuals, enabling them to have a great quality of life as important and valued members of the local community.

We have the following vacancies:

1 x Night Care Assistant - 10.00 pm to 7.30 am, over 7 days including weekends and bank holidays (21 hours per week).  You will be paid a shift allowance of 33%.

2 x Day Care Assistant -  You will work from a rolling fixed rota, covering 28 hours a week.  The shift pattern will cover days including (4 days in and 3 days off per week).  Shift times are 7:30 am - 3 pm and 2:30 pm - 10 pm. You would work alternative weekends, for which you are paid an enhancement of 10%. 

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

 

Who are we looking for?

This is a “hands-on” role in which no two days are the same. You will, therefore, need to be physically fit, have a flexible, patient, and non-judgemental approach to your work, and be able to demonstrate and adapt excellent communication skills.
