What will you be doing?

You will be based within a social work team alongside Advanced Practitioner & Social workers including AYSE.  Your responsibilities will include undertaking assessment such as Graded Care Profile, Risk assessment, supervising family time, direct work with children, planning interventions to support around parenting, behaviour management and engaging with young people to ensure they voices are heard.

The Family Support Worker may at times provide focussed urgent family support to children and families with complex needs.

We are looking for people who are highly motivated and can work both independently and as part of a team. You will carry out a broad range of tasks deemed appropriate for your grade, and whilst an ability to work independently is required, all of your work will have oversight from a qualified Social Worker.

About you

The role will be based at Angel Square Northampton with some remote working so you will need to have access to a vehicle.

You will have good awareness of current and relevant legislation relating to the job 

You have previously worked within the field of family support or in a similar role working with children and families

You are a strong communicator, organised and able to build effective relationships
