An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and innovative Occupational Therapist to help support our Falls Response service for the future. The service runs alongside the Rapid Response and Intermediate Care therapy services.
The Falls Response service support the principles of a 'keeping patients safe in their own home' approach using creative strategies, specialist assessments and bespoke interventions to help patients remain at home and not to attend the acute hospital unnecessarily. We often receive referrals directly from patients, carers or relative where patients have sustained non-injurious falls where the team can assess and assist to prevent further injury and long lays for patients on the floor- These assessments inform a vast array of interventions, including use of the Hoverjack lifting device, which result in excellent outcomes for our patients.
This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week).
***Please note: a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential as it is a day to day requirement of this role. Please indicate this in your supporting statement.***
