The hours of work and shift patterns are: 5.45am till 1.45pm Monday till Friday

The rates of pay are: Grade 6

• Training new employees on general butchery and knife skills, ensuring that they pass and are accountable for them to be trained to the required standard including sign-off of SOP’s ( Standard Operating Procedures)
• Ensuring new employees pass their food safety
• Upskilling existing employees on general butchery
• Providing detailed progress reports on skills
• Completing and updating skill gap analysis
• Attending a weekly training meeting and presenting ‘As is and to be’ to the Site Director , Operations Manager , Senior HR Manager and Training Manager
• Reporting of absences to operations, HR and engineering
• Accountable for adherence to SOP’s  
• Actively involved in the creation of SOP’s and process mapping
• Complete all SOP’s and planned maintenance documents
• Be highly flexible to cover holidays and general production capacity requirements                           
• Understand and adhere to all factory dress codes, health and safety issues and other company rules that apply

• Excellent knife skills on breast filleting and / or thigh deboning (this will be tested and checked)
• Excellent written and communication skills in the English language and practical skills and strong aptitude for training and coaching others
• A passion for helping others to improve their skills and a patience to allow them to grow
• Previous experience in training, writing SOP’s and processes would be an advantage
• A flexible approach and outlook to work
• Able to hold yourself accountable for achieving what is expected and be a role model to others
• The ability to work on your own initiative and able to make decisions

*This role will report into the operations team and have a dotted line into HR Training
