Job Role: Assistant / Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
Working hours/ days: Monday to Friday

Eleven Eleven Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor.
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for construction and numbers? Our client is seeking an Assistant / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Previous experience in this role is essential.
The successful candidate will be based at their head office in Colchester, Essex, however, it is required to visit their sites across East Anglia when needed.
Responsibilities:
• Support senior QS in cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender and contract documents
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor project costs and expenditure
• Aid in the assessment and selection of subcontractors
• Assist in the negotiation and agreement of variations and claims
• Help prepare progress reports and financial forecasts
• Participate in site visits and measurements
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Previous experience in a construction-related role is advantageous but not essential
