To support the day-to-day planning, sequencing & material requirement activities across 7 days in Planning team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments including operations, procurement and logistics, to develop production plans and schedules, monitor inventory levels and ensure smooth workflow within the manufacturing facility.

Key Accountabilities

  • To work as a Production Planner and cover material planning when required
  • Provide daily production schedule based on sales forecasts and actual orders, food shelf-life and manufacturing capacity.
  • Smooth out weekly production load through careful scheduling of production for stock
  • Control finished good stock variance in and out premises including stock control and logistics.
  • Set up product codes in ERP/ EDI /Planning systems for new Launch
  • Cover as Material Planner
    • Review material requirements, place orders with suppliers considering MOQ, lead time, delivery days.
    • Follow up any delivery failures / quality rejections.
    • Collaborate with procurement / NFD / Suppliers for new materials.
Main Responsibilities

Admin / Reports / Sales Order Management

Reviewing and transferring all customer orders into Bigham’s planning systems

Create sales orders manually for NON-EDI customers

Producing daily and weekly performance reports

Attend meetings as required.

Working cross functionally (such as NFD & Technical) to ensure any changes are accurately set up and communicated as necessary.

Production Scheduling

Issue daily production plan considering stock holding, capacity and customer orders

Formulate daily production schedules to deliver internal & external customer service requirements.

Create and manage daily works orders.

Create and manage jobs for trial plan.

Issue kitchen production schedules

Amend production schedules at short notice to mitigate supply chain or production challenges.

Formulate a weekly production forecast showing daily volumes.

Maintain 12 weeks balanced production forecast in MPS.

Maintain production plans in SYSPRO.

Service level communication with customers

Maintain precise forecast for Launch / Delisting products.

Material Requirements

Maintain up to date forecasts and create jobs in order for accurate material requirements.

Order ingredients daily and send supplier forecast weekly.

Ensure ingredients delivered as planned.

Stock Control

Manage stock stored in and out of Bigham’s premises to deliver material variance target.

Coordinate with production team to accurately reflect stocks in syspro.
 

Co-ordinate & Communicate Issues Arising

Where issues arise take necessary actions to minimise implications to customer service and materials variance in conjunction with the Production Kitchen departments

Communicate as necessary with external customers, transportation, suppliers and Bigham’s departments to ensure issues understood and resolved as efficiently as possible.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Experience 

Previous Production Planning /FMCG experience desirable

Skills

  • Competent MS Excel user ( Formulas and Macros )
  • Intermediate user of MS PowerPoint, able to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships.
  • A great organiser with attention to detail
  • Analytical and logical – able to simplify the technically complex.
  • Experienced at using data to paint a picture.
  • Able to take difficult decisions.
