Our Team Leader role is newly created and offers many exciting opportunities for someone who may be seeking to “dip their toes” in a management position. A key support to our Team Managers and Branch Managers, you will motivate and lead a team of Customer Service Assistants on shift ensuring the day to day shopfloor operations run smoothly, efficiently and that the store is looking great – remembering that first impressions count!

We recognise the challenges people face trying to balance commitments both in and out of the workplace -  perhaps studying, caring commitments, or other employment. We therefore aim to be as flexible as possible, to create shift patterns that work for both our co-op and our colleagues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead your team, delegate effectively in line with branch priorities and ensure performance levels are maintained throughout the shift.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels whilst considering customer demand for products.
  • Control the condition of stock and minimise wastage by ensuring that good handling, rotation and storage routines are followed.
  • Ensure you and your team are observing all relevant compliance in branch to maintain a safe and legal environment.
  • Build relationships with the local community and promote our membership.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Ability to support and motivate others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver excellent standards with an exceptional eye for detail.
  •  A focus for “getting the job done”.
  •  Good understanding/level of numeracy, literacy and IT.
