Working with the Piling Director, your main responsibility is to lead your National Sales Team to increase company revenue and profitability in line with agreed KPI’s and business standards.

Alongside leading your team to meet KPI’s, your area of focus will be to work to develop sales in new business sectors, lead bids for major accounts and maintain/grow a select number of key accounts.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Ensuring your team meets agreed revenue and profit targets through regular portfolio reviews and joint site visits
  • Maximising your account portfolio to ensure it meets agreed revenue and profit targets
  • Working with your team to increase revenue and profit through new, spending accounts in line with agreed targets
  • Maximising share of wallet opportunities to agreed targets
  • Drive the sales team adhere to the contractual agreements, SLA’s, pricing, rebate, loss matrix, etc. with our customers, performing annualised reviews against contract terms, agreed opportunity/revenues, etc.
  • Contributing to the delivery and development of the sales strategy
  • Keeping the CRM system   up to date with daily/weekly contact activity, customer contact data and opportunity at all times through the management of your sales team and their activities
  • Ensuring pricing and rebate guidelines are adhered to by the team
  • Making sure that  commercially sound discount decisions are made in conjunction with the operations teams
  • Take a proactive role in the periodic review of the customer base in line with defined segmentations
  • Debtor days and invoice accuracy in line with agreed customer SLA’s are in line with agreed company levels
  • Deliver annualised/contractual price increases positively and on time
  • Promote a team culture which celebrates success and takes ownership of errors/faults
  • Be proactive in managing underperformance in your team on a regular basis, in line with procedures
  • Promote and embed a joined up approach to customer engagement throughout your team by engaging the local operations teams
  • Forge and maintain positive working relationships in your area
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Credit Control, Compliance (H&S,
  • Assist the Piling Director in building a respectful ‘one team’ culture across the sales and operations teams and also promote change positively and assist in embedding new concepts
  • Environmental, Certification), HR and to ensure fit for purpose information is available for our customers on request, bids, tenders, etc.
 
What We’re Looking For
 
  • Ability to secure and grow new business with spending accounts
  • Excellent communications skills

  • Highly developed negotiation and closing skills
  • Valid driving licence
  • Intermediate IT skills, including the ability to format and analyse data
  • Experience of presenting commercial arguments formally to key senior external stakeholders
  • Recent track record of winning multiple customer accounts from identification of opportunity, through to bid process, to negotiation and delivery of service
  • Highly motivated with strong commercial skills
  • Understanding of P&L and specifically mark-up/margin
  • Proof of ability to lead and manage a sales team remotely
  • Evidence of continuous revenue growth. e.g. Accounts that have been developed and how this was achieved
