Hybrid Homeworking with office base in Kings Lynn

Part time, 34 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Starting Salary £31,252 per annum, with future progression opportunities to £33,245 per annum

Plus Essential Car User Allowance of £3,922 per annum

Permanent Contract

 

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Support Coordinator to join our team. The role requires a candidate who has experience of engaging, supporting and working with customers. A large part of this role is to develop and deliver a support plan which will allow tenants to maintain their tenancy and independent living.

Some of the main duties of the role will be:

  • Working with people in an open way to encourage the creation of a caring, but structured environment in which people feel free to explore their own difficulties.
  • Co-ordinating support to customers with possible wide-ranging complex needs with emphasis upon issues of: lack of lifestyle skills (budgeting, cooking, hygiene, renting etc.) family/relationship breakdown and/or financial hardship.
  • To work closely with the Tenancy Support & Safeguarding manager to maintain a cohesive and consistent approach to providing support to tenants.
  • To identify customer’s needs and develop a support plan (with other agencies) that will enable customers to exit the service within a realistic timeframe.
  • To carry out full financial assessment detailing income and expenditure, developing a plan to reduce their outgoings and to identify where savings could be made. With the aim of improving their ability to meet their primary debts and their rental payments with the Association.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in relevant fields such as Social Work, Care, Housing or any other relevant area, as well as excellent communication skills, a positive outlook and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate should have experience of engaging, supporting and working with hard to reach customers, as well as knowledge of welfare benefits and understanding social care and the criminal justice system.

A driving licence is essential as travel will be required. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
