The Head of Senior School Music is the leader of all musical aspects of life at Ewell Castle Senior School. The Head of Senior School Music has a key role in the co-curriculum and oversees an extremely popular and vibrant provision of instrumental tuition; organises a rich and varied selection of groups, orchestras and ensembles; and is central to the organisation of several school events. They are pivotal in the integration and appreciation of liturgical music that is at the heart of our services.

 In addition to these co-curricular responsibilities, the Head of Senior School Music leads a staff team and is accountable to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for academic attainment and the progress of students within Music from KS3 to KS5. Alongside the other Curriculum Leaders, they have a key management role in raising academic standards and contributing to the life of the School. The quality and standard of work in the Music Department depend on the inspiration, dynamism, guidance and example of the Head of Senior School Music.
