We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in managing reactive Mechanical tasks and planned activities to ensure service level agreements are met. Your Role as Health and Safety Manager

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking Mechanical work across a variety of settings including domestic, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your duties will include minor repairs, fault finding, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. Additionally, you will liaise with customers to arrange appointments, provide engineering expertise out of hours, and ensure effective communication with the team and line manager.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe working environment by completing all tasks to a high standard and adhering to safety protocols. Your proactive approach, coupled with your ability to work as part of a team and independently, will contribute to the successful completion of maintenance activities within agreed operational targets.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Good awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and British Standards.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 accreditation as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge/experience of building maintenance.
  • Numerate and computer literate.
  • Flexibility to undertake weekend/out of hours working through an on-call rota.
