In an era where technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing social connections and enriching community life, Jewish Care Explore is dedicated to ensuring older and disabled individuals have the opportunity and knowledge to engage with mainstream technology. We are seeking a dedicated Digital Engagement Coordinator to lead operational coordination at our Explore centres, outreach programs, and front-line training services in Northwest London and Hertfordshire.

This post is working Monday to Thursday for 30 hours per week.

What you will be doing:

  • Day-to-day operational coordination of JC Explore Centres and outreach services.
  • Leadership and management of digital skills tutors, audio engineers, and volunteers.
  • Overseeing, reviewing, and delivering the core syllabus and training programs.
  • Researching and developing innovative tools and assistive technology.
  • Designing and delivering Train-the-Trainers programs.
  • Promoting digital awareness and safety through training and presentations.
  • Planning and creating ICT skills assessment tools.
  • Monitoring customer progress and conducting user research.
  • Establishing partnerships with other organizations.
  • Implementing policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Reporting against KPIs and contributing to marketing material.

What you will need:

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in technology, training, or health and social care (E)
  • Competent ICT user with experience in commonly used applications (E)
  • Experience in training or developing activities for older and disabled people (E)
  • Experience in assessing skills and progress (E)
  • Knowledgeable about assistive technology and its adoption (E)
  • Understanding of the potential of digital technology for older and disabled individuals (E)
  • Knowledge of current ICT developments and GDPR/safeguarding practices (E)
  • Familiarity with disabilities and technology's supportive role (E)
  • Ability to develop training resources catering to diverse needs (E)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills (E)
  • Strong written English and numeracy skills (E)
  • Highly organised with attention to detail (E)
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability (E)
  • Prioritisation and workload management skills (E)
