We are looking for a Cellar Person to join us at Newcastle United Football Club

You’ll be playing a big part in daily logistics of meetings and events and matchday setup.

£11.12- £12per hour

Main Responsibilities

To ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and appearance, with back of house areas cleared down following use and assisting with the cleaning of cellars as required.
Ensuring all stock is stored appropriately to ensure its best condition.
Supervise casual back of house staff in the execution of their duties, leading by example and ensuring maximum productivity, providing any necessary on the job training and identifying any developmental among the team to help improve the overall performance of the department.
to record stock levels via stocktakes.
To ensure all staff within your department are in full and correct uniform including all role specific PPE.
Demonstrating high leadership skills therefore providing the basis for high group morale and motivation.
To ensure that all work is carried out in safe, professional and non-hazardous manner, in accordance with company Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and to report any defects to equipment or unsafe practices to your line manager.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

Experience of working in a large operation with high volume events business.
Must be able to work weekends and some evenings
Knowledge and experience of beer line cleaning and cellar management
Excellent communication and leadership skills essential, providing the ability giving the ability to recruit, train, manage and motivate the workforce.
Ability to maintain professional relationships with diverse range of suppliers, team members and guests essential.
Knowledge and understanding of the wider market trends and the ability to work closely with colleagues in order to fulfil client needs.

Desirable:

Experience working within a sports and leisure/stadia.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
Food Safety Level 3 qualification of equivalent.
Knowledge of COSHH
Willingness for self-development
