An opportunity has become available for a Trading Recharge Specialist within the NGED South West Licence area. You will be required to cover works within East Wales and southern parts of the West Midlands and would ideally be based in Bristol, Mendip or Gloucester areas. Consideration will be given to other locations and will be discussed with the successful candidate.
NGED Trading Recharge provide contracting services for Customer owned private electricity distribution networks and specialise in the Design, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of such networks.
Reporting to the Trading Recharge Team Manager, the Trading Recharge Specialist will be responsible for the project management, planning, installation and commissioning of electrical plant and apparatus (including specialist non-standard equipment) on Customer owned underground and overhead networks.
As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.
Depending on experience, you may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.
If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main ResponsibilitiesThe specific main tasks include:-
A highly motivated individual, you must be able to work on your own initiative as part of a small team, making on the spot decisions as required and working to tight deadlines.
A flexible attitude is essential, as you will be required to undertake other duties to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously are also essential.
Candidates must hold a City & Guilds 2339 - Level 3. A HNC - level 4 or above in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous but is not essential for the role.
In addition, although predominantly covering the NGED South West area, you will need to be mobile throughout the whole NGED area and therefore applicants should hold a full UK driving licence.
You may be required to undertake NGED operational standby duties
The successful candidate may initially be appointed on a designate basis.
