Calisen Metering, part of the Calisen Group, is in an exciting and strong position where we are seeing growth and development in all areas of the business. Our Metering Operations department are looking for a Commissioning Support Agent to join the deprogramming team.

The successful applicant will become a subject matter expert in the commissioning process across all our key suppliers, understanding in detail the onsite process, as well as having a good understanding of how to utilise key back-office systems to investigate, monitor and triage. The Commissioning Support Agent will also be responsible for providing support and advice to Calisen Metering Field Services for commissioning queries, and will act as a point of contact and support for other departments within Calisen Metering to assist with queries/requests relating to commissioning, as well as engaging with suppliers & customers in response to requests and queries relating to live and past commissioning processes

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern basis between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday – Friday, + Saturday cover on a rota between 10:00 – 14:00 working on a hybrid basis whereby you will work from home but also required to attend the Wigan office at least 2 days per week, with a salary of £23,400.00 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert in the onsite commissioning process across all suppliers.
  • Have a good understanding of the functionality and set up of each DCC adaptor utilised by key suppliers.
  • Provide direct support to Calisen Metering Field Services for any commissioning queries of an escalated nature.
  • Provide feedback to enable reporting around issues raised, to enable continual improvement.
  • Act as point of contact for suppliers in relation to commissioning queries and requests.
  • Act as the link between the Supplier and Calisen Metering Field Services in relation to commissioning issues/queries.
  • Management of inbound/outbound calls from/to customers to arrange follow up visits to rectify commissioning issues.
  • Management of mailbox relating to commissioning queries/revisit requests.
  • Escalate to key internal stakeholders any major service issues in relation to commissioning.
  • Assist with working invoicing disputes relating to commissioning, evidencing steps taken on site and resolution to progress to a billable state.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis on commissioning data as and when required.
  • Always deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by your manager and the directors of the Company.

What we are looking for

  • A good standard of education (GCSE level including English & Maths or equivalent). Any higher-level education/qualifications (A-levels, degree etc.) would be desirable.
  • Prior experience working within a similar commissioning agent type role is preferred, with any experience working within the utility metering industry being highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience of providing excellent customer service using various methods of communication, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate with ability to operate Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organisation and administration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
