We are looking for someone to join our Hotel Services department as a Team Leader!

Our Hotel Services team provide a variety of cleaning, portering and catering operations to service users, residents, staff and visitors across hospital wards, health centres and offices. As the Team Leader, you will have day to day supervisory responsibility for cleaning, catering and portering services across St. Martin’s and Paulton Hospitals. You will be responsible for carrying out audits and gathering feedback by promoting cleaning standards and compliance in the workplace.

This is a full time opportunity working 37.5 hours across the week.

Main Responsibilities
  • Effectively engage with Ward Managers, Quality Team including Infection Prevention Control Nurses and other key stakeholders to create action plans for resolving any cleaning/compliance issues and the subsequent monitoring of progress
  • Create data sets and KPI’s to analyse cleaning standards at HCRG Care Group’s sites including comparative information on a year-on-year basis.
  • Supervise and support cleaning teams, ensuring they are trained to a high standard and attend all mandatory training.
  • Draw up rotas and allocate annual leave and sickness ensuring the required level of cover is provided to support demand and in line with service budgets.
  • Participate and contribute to supervision sessions with line manager.
  • Report any concerns or issues regarding maintenance, pest control, deep cleaning, window cleaning to the relevant helpdesk and management team.
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Good communication skills with the ability to work to own timescales with good organisational skills.
  • Ability to supervise and work with a team
  • Ability to develop and work to structured systems and processes.
  • Have an understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Experience and understanding of audits and information governance.
  • Previous work experience in a similar setting (minimum 1 year).

Desirable

  • Experience of health and safety at work.
  • Previous experience of working in a health and/or social care environment.
  • Interested/enthusiastic about working within our services
