We are seeking an enterprising  individual for the role of Deputy Head of Digital Transformation at Harrogate College . The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering staff to develop their digital skills. They will inspire colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, working across the college to embed digital ways of delivering teaching, learning and assessment. 

The successful candidate will be a people person with exceptional communication skills, able to guide others through change. Demonstrating coaching experience and a background in teaching and learning that fosters our culture of working with and supporting colleagues to develop. 

The role will involve management of curriculum programme areas within the college and will report to the Deputy Director at Harrogate College

What You Will Do
  • Motivate and inspire students to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression
  • Provide an excellent learning experience which allows students to progress to a higher level, higher education or employment and in which their attainment is maximised.
  • Encourage a culture where teachers develop, and are supported to achieve, professional standards
  • Ensure that all preparation, marking, assessment and moderation is completed promptly and efficiently within agreed timescales.
  • Contribute to the college’s curriculum and strategic planning processes and to lead this in defined sections of the Department
  • To work with the Internal Quality Lead Verifier to ensure effective management of the Internal and External verification procedures including assuming the role of Internal Verifier, if appropriate
About You
  • We are looking for a Deputy Head of Department who has a passion for digital development in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Knowledge and experience of a variety of digital technologies used in Teaching, Learning and Assessment with a drive for continuous practice and discovery. 
  • We are looking for a Deputy Head of Department who utalises coaching techniques and works ‘with’ the team at Harrogate College
  • A track record of developing  learning opportunities inspiring staff to develop. 
  • Recent experience in a management position within the Further Education sector.
  • A track record of successful curriculum management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships to drive continuous improvement.
