 About The Role

Admiralty Care Home has 41 beds, and is set in a rural residential suburb of Gillingham. Admiralty Care Home sits just back from Drewery Drive, in a private lane. The home is an established part of the local community with easy access to local facilities and amenities, including local shops, a doctor’s practice and a library. Gillingham is just a short drive away and is accessible via local buses. The M2 is also just a few minutes’ drive from the home.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, as Deputy Manager you will be responsible for leading the care team to ensure that the care delivered to our resident is safe, supportive and person-centred.

You will ensure that these needs are regularly reviewed to ensure they meet their current requirements, and ensure the general standards of hygiene and cleanliness and equipment are maintained for their safety and wellbeing.

You will support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the home, assuming full capacity in their absence.

About You

  • Knowledgeable of the care sector - preferably within a care home setting
  • Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
  • NVQ level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience leading and engaging a team of Care Managers, Seniors and Care Assistants.
