What is the job role?

We are looking for a friendly, dynamic and inspirational individual, to lead and manage our Catering Facility at Sowe Valley Primary School The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a school kitchen as a cook or a general assistant.

You will be innovative, creative and passionate, ensuring our children have the best experience of healthy eating from a young age. You will have experience of cooking healthy delicious meals, reviewing and implementing change, ordering supplies and menu planning, in order to deliver high quality healthy food on budget and on time.

You will need to adhere to safe working practices with regard to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene Regulations and maintain high standards of Personal Hygiene.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will:

• Create and serve delicious and nutritious meals for our pupils.

• Menu plan and manage budgets.

• Lead and motivate one other member of the catering team.

• Demonstrate a good knowledge of catering legislation including allergens.

• Be articulate and able to communicate effectively with all share holders.

• Have a basic knowledge of ICT using an IPAD
