An opportunity is available for an Information Centre Assistant, based at either Bristol, Castle Donington or Tipton and will be agreed with the successful candidate although travel to other NGED locations will occasionally be required.

Reporting to Management Information (MI) Team Manager, you will assist the Management Information (MI) Team in providing quality management information, insight on business performance and general administrative support.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to complete and provide a satisfactory basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

*Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation, maintenance and publication of an ongoing system of management information required for NGED.
  • Producing routine and ad hoc management information from various NGED resources as required.
  • Information prepared with attention to detail to ensure accuracy, on time, for use by Directors and Senior Managers.
  • Assist the MI team working towards the annual Interruptions and Incentives Scheme (IIS) Audit.
  • General administrative and support duties required of the team and the Operations Support team.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a confident communicator.  You have the ability to prioritise your work and have proven experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst providing excellent attention to detail. 

Confident in the use of Microsoft software with a detailed knowledge in the use of Access and Excel spreadsheets along with experience of data accuracy and numeracy/statistical work including auditing, data extraction and presentation are all key to be being successful in this role.

A full driving licence will be beneficial due to the travel between sites when required.
