We have an exciting opportunity where you could be a part of our incredible team.

In this role you will be responsible for localised master data (including Materials, Vendors, Customers) quality & improvement, supports the localisation of group-driven master data process design (to the S/4 template) and steers local data cleansing, readiness and migration efforts. In addition, he/she supports the local implementation strategy, and provides and applies best-in-class master data expertise.

The Local Data Champion is further responsible for performance management and governance (KPIs) to maintain data excellence. He/she works collaboratively alongside the BDO, local functional teams, IT and local GMs (General Managers). In addition, the Data Champion (DC) acts as the local data expert ensuring data quality, process adherence, and reports and channels local deviations to the local GM or equivalent.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

1 Template phase:

Based on BDO direction and guidance, DC supports in the design of S/4 template based on global standards, respectively co-defines the business data blueprint.

  • Specialisation as DC in one of the following areas: Material, Customer, Vendor, Financial master data
  • If required, support in S/4HANA design workshops by bringing local master data & process expertise, addressing pain points and complexities and support functional business and technical requirements (for system build of the designed template)
  • Carries ownership of local design-related template responsibilities for global S/4HANA design / business blueprint
  • Define and lead local data improvement activities (master and transactional data) and data migration requirements with the BDO.
  • Define and lead local master data process design (winshuttle and/or Informatica tbc)

 

  • Deployment phase:
    • Drive template deployment (localisation) in the respective site or country, conduct Fit-to-Standard assessments jointly with GMs and BDOs to validate the global template fit in line with the local environment.
    • Drive local data improvement (and cleansing) activities ahead of data migration.
    • Be informed regarding the system-testing on designed in-scope master data processes, data conversions and understand the test approach and the results. Action on any gap items
    • Be involved in and oversee the master data cut-over process, sign off towards the end of deployment phase, and take any actions as needed
    • Maintain a cross-functional and cross-country lens as the template is being deployed, refined and finalized, and align major functional scoping or process design topics with functions/operating units

     

  • Steady state (after project go-live)
    • Maintains efficient and effective to-be processes through cooperation with the IT CoE and SAP Delivery Centre, as well as the local stakeholders and GMs
    • Be involved in the localised impact of system-testing on designed in-scope processes, and understand the test approach and results. Assist with actioning any gap items.
    • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and scope enhancements as part of group-wide harmonization, standardisation, digitalization efforts
    • Oversee and coordinate hyper care activities and pro-actively manage defect resolution after obtaining the approval from the local GM

    This role is based in Feltham, London (Hybrid Working: in the office 60% and WFH 40%)
