We are looking for a confident Senior Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet River View.

River View is an enhanced community residential service for men with neuropsychiatric or neurodegenerative conditions in Darlington, who may have behaviours that challenge alongside additional social and complex needs.

River View acts as a transitional service from inpatient Neuropsychiatric rehabilitation for those individuals who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway but now require the ability to return to the community; where participation in both social and domestic activities is vital for their quality of life and long term future in the community.

Your day-to-day…

Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely
Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
Safeguard
Maintain a safe & clean environment for all

You are…

Successful canddiate must have NVQ level 2 or 3 in adult care.

Preferably a clean driving license for 2 years or more, but not essential

Candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS Check
