Cambridgeshire County Council are looking for a Systems Development Officer who has a passion for improving digital systems and processes.  Working across multiple teams within Adult Social Care, you will have great relationship building skills and be able to focus on identifying and delivering solutions.


Working in the Performance and Strategic Development, team this role makes a real difference to our delivery of Adult Social Care, ensuring that our care records system is fit for purpose.  As our Systems Development Officer for Adult Social Care, you will act as a conduit between operational social care teams, Practice Standards and Quality and our IT and Business Intelligence teams. You will work with a wide range of people to deliver a range of projects focused on improving our systems and processes.

A positive mindset for seeking out and delivering solutions to complex issues is essential as you’ll be leading the co-ordination of system changes and supporting our teams through this. You’ll have a skill for being able to identify issues and ensure that the right people are involved to resolve them and an organised approach to analyse and manage change.

About you

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of care records systems in an adult social care setting
  • Have a positive approach, seeking out solutions to complex issues
  • Have a working knowledge of Adult Social Care
  • Be an excellent communicator able to support the facilitation of groups
  • Build relationships and work with a wide range of people to deliver solutions
  • Be organised and efficient in your approach to each project
