Upholsterer
Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 4.45pm
£14.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience and skill set)

My client in the Dewsbury area are looking for experienced Upholsterers ideally from a furniture manufacturing background.

Duties include:

- Upholster furniture pieces according to specifications and customer requirements
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric or leather materials using sewing machines and hand tools
- Attach padding, springs, and webbing to furniture frames
- Install finished upholstery onto furniture frames
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as an upholsterer or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or design specifications
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with machining, building, or millwork processes is a plus
