Our recently established Exploitation Hub is leading a collaborative initiative involving multiple agencies to address exploitation. You will work closely with the Police, Children & Families Support Services, Health Professionals, Education sector, Youth Offending Services (YOS), and community-based services. The post will be based at the Criminal Justice Centre, Brackmills Business Park, Northampton NN4.

We are in search of a Team Manager who holds current Social Work England registration and possesses prior leadership experience in exploitation and contextual safeguarding. Supporting children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes and safeguarding their welfare.

What will you be doing?

You will offer guidance and support to your team of six non-case holding Advanced Practitioners who will be working alongside the Allocated Social Workers in the North and West of the county.

You will work in collaboration with other teams and agencies, adhering to policies and guidelines, to assess levels of risk, develop risk management strategies and safety planning. Use law, regulations, and statutory guidance to inform practice decisions, incorporating evidence-based research into decision-making processes and identify who is the best professional to support the young person and their families. You will be tasked with efficiently allocating and prioritising work to ensure the safety and welfare of the child remains paramount, while also fostering the development of your team.

About you

You will have experience with young people and families impacted by Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), and a willingness to undertake additional training in contextual safeguarding.

You will directly report to the Service Manager overseeing Exploitation and will actively contribute to the development of the Multiagency Exploitation Hub, to strengthen our response to exploitation.
