About the role

The HR Advisor will be joining a team preparing for growth, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and guidance to managers across the businessYou will be hands on, supporting with change management projects and TUPE processes, whilst supporting with the development and updating of policies and processesAs part of the People team, you will be an advocate for inclusion and champion behaviours which always support the Group’s Values. 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide technical advice and guidance on employee relations matters. 
  • Offer guidance to managers on handling sensitive employee issues and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.  
  • Proactively be involved in the business, being hands-on in change management projects including supporting and project managing TUPE processes.  
  • Support the develop and updates of people policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Communicate and educate managers and employees on people policies, ensuring consistent application and adherence throughout the Group.  
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.  
  • Participate in people-related projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the People department.  
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefits and compensation-related queries.  
  • In collaboration with the Training Development team seek to identify training needs within your allocated area and assist in the design and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.  
  • Ensure that all activity is challenged and assessed as best practice and legally compliant, seeking to resolve all ER matters with an effective and timely conclusion. 


About you

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working as a HR generalist. You will have the ability to build exceptional relationships and have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. As we a multi-sited business, flexibility to travel and visit our different sites within the Borough is essential. 

 

Experience and Qualifications required


  •  CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) level 5 qualification or equivalent   
  • Proven experience of providing practical HR advice to a broad range of stakeholders  
  • Ability to manage a complex workload, often with conflicting priorities. 
  • Strong and up to date knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.  
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills. 
  • Ability to build rapport and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.  
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.  
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other HR software applications.  
  • Experience of working in a multi-site role
