About the Job
Responsible for the day-to-day running of our swim school, swimming lessons, and swim school programming, as well as acting as a Duty Manager for a min 2 shifts a week. Our swim managers work collaboratively with other departments across the business to ensure an innovative programme of activities, that support and give back to the local community, are delivered on time and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Day-to-day management of swimming teachers
  • Carrying out the deputy manager role when on duty management shifts.
  • Achieve centre financial targets and KPIs, by maximizing Swim School occupancy 
  • Assisting with school swimming booking processes 
  • Track, measure and report on the effectiveness of aquatic programmes
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends effecting wet side, making appropriate recommendations for strategic and tactical development.
  • Deal with any H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns & report on the management system.
 
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for swimming and the ability to influence and motivate staff. You will have experience working in wet operations ideally and be now looking to move into a senior or management position. Excellent communication skills and experience of leading a team in your career is also essential. Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check & reference checks.
 
Qualifications Required
 Ideally hold, or be looking to attain a:
  • Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Pool Plant Operation Qualification
