About the Job

You will be responsible for preparing and delivering Swimming lessons to Children and Adults in the swim school program, ensuring the Swim England “Pre-school framework”, “Learn to swim frameworks”, “Aquatic skills framework” and “Adult Framework” are followed at all times.

As a Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you will be involved with the following:

• Preparing lesson plans that meets the requirements ‘all Swim England Frameworks’.
• Carry out all administrative tasks associated with the position, including lesson plans and schemes of work. 
• Ensure all classes registers are taken every lesson and continuous assessment of pupils are happening each week. 
• Upholding GDPR guidelines at all times.
• Responsible for equipment set-up, organisation throughout the sessions and putting away at the end of the session.

• Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Safeguarding policy
• Work with customers in group and sometimes on a one-to-one basis to motivate and instruct them during their lessons.
• Supervise and mentor ASA/Swim England Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers as required. 

The successful candidates will:

• Hold an ASA/Swim England- SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming. 
• Be passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to swim or become stronger, faster or more confident when swimming
• Have good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, and their parents
