We are looking for a Consultant Community Paediatrician to come and join our friendly service in Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire. Community Paediatricians are an integral part of BaNES and Wiltshire's children’s community services, and the team are working to harmonize provision and develop services and pathways across the region. Providing an effective, evidence based and timely community paediatric medical services to children and young people with developmental disorders to assist children in reaching their potential.
Our Service
Community Paediatrics is a team of children’s doctors in Wiltshire who see children and young people and their families in the community.
We investigate and diagnose children with a range of difficulties including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and delayed development.
Our paediatricians listen to, assess and decide the best way to help children with a developmental impairment, physical and/or learning disability or complex health needs (e.g. Autism or Cerebral Palsy).
We also carry out specialist assessments of school-age children; where there is a concern regarding a neuro-developmental disorder, for example, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).

As a Consultant Community Paediatrician in HCRG Care Group Wiltshire you’ll join a tight-knit, supportive team where you’ll be working as part of the health care system in BaNES Wiltshire where we deliver services across the child health department.
Within the team, you’ll be provided with support and flexibility to allow you to fit your life into your work.
The post holder will also assist in the clinical supervision and coordination of the work of trainees and specialty doctors, as well as participating in peer support.
Your days will be varied and fulfilling and may include:
Proposed plan of programmed activities (PAs):
3.25 clinics per week 6.5 (including admin)
Neurology and physical disability lead role 1.0
Supporting professional activities 2.5
Total 10 PAs (40 hours)
