37.5 hours per week (full-time)

Salary £27,000.00 when training dependent on qualification

David Lewis College is a rapidly growing Independent Specialist College for young people between the ages of 16 and 25. As a specialist education provider we enhance the skills and life options of young people with learning difficulties including autism, epilepsy, and other neurological disabilities. We are looking for an inspirational Trainee College SEN Tutor to work towards Level 5 Teaching Qualification & QTLS who is committed to developing the skills, confidence, ambition and independence of young people on their journey into adulthood.

The successful candidate will be:-

• Passionate about teaching young people with special educational needs
• Committed and willing to learn the skills required to be an outstanding Tutor
• Able to use their knowledge and skills to provide the best possible education for learners including the delivery of an individualised curriculum
• Creative, adaptable and resilient, with a positive attitude
• Committed to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team 
• Confident in dealing with young people who may display challenging behaviours
