The Role

Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Hours: 30 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Covering 4pm to 1am, including some weekends and bank holidays

P3 has an exciting opportunity to join our recently opened service, The Safe Haven, in Chesterfield which will offer out of hours support, an alternative for people with (or developing) mental health needs, particularly where they may have otherwise attended Emergency Departments. The service will provide a community wellbeing resource that people can access support during a mental health crisis, preventing escalation of mental health problems and supporting people to develop the necessary skills to cope with a future crisis. The Safe Haven will provide a safe, supportive and friendly environment helping individuals in their recovery through promotion of self‐empowerment and independence.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a supportive, people focused environment, with a thorough understanding of mental health needs and excellent communication skills. You will need to be calm when dealing with challenging situations, kind, approachable and solution focussed in order to fully support people experiencing a tough time.

You will assist the Service Manager with the day to day running of the service and deputise for the manager in their absence.
