We're looking to hire a Senior HSE Manager for ESS, responsible for supporting the management of health, safety and environment across the sector. This is the senior HSE Manager within Compass One, with oversight of Defence, Government, Healthcare, Offshore & Remote. You will be the SME and sector lead for HSE matters and liaise directly with the sector MD and Operational Leadership Teams, providing competent advice, guidance and support to operational teams to enable them to carry out their HSE responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide competent HSE advice, guidance and support to managers across all sectors, obtaining specialist support when required;
- Effective liaison with the sector MD and Operational Leadership Teams to ensure they are kept informed of Compass HSE initiatives, updates or improvements;
- Attendance at sector MD Leadership Team Meetings as required by sector MD;
- Communication with sector MD and Leadership Teams on any significant incidents in the sector that require specific actions, such as LTI, RIDDOR, Food Allergy, Enforcement Contact or any other significant incidents that have the potential for further risk to the business;
- Effective partnership with the Regional HSE Directors on changes or improvements to HSE Management Systems to enhance the business and ensuring sector requirements are included;
- To be the SME on any sector specific specialist areas and to support the wider HSE Team as required on advice and training;
- To ensure the alignment of any sector specific HSE plans to the business needs and sharing of best practice.
- Be a member of, and represent the Sector within, the HSE Leadership Team
Skills required:
- Must have held a senior HSE role
- Experience in Defence a benefit
