CNC Setter Programmer - Salary:

• £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE) plus overtime potential...


CNC Setter Programmer - The Job:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC Milling machines.
• Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files.
• Produce prototypes / small production runs.
• Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual).
• Maintain clean and tidy stations.
• Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
• Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.


CNC Setter Programmer - Job Requirements:

• Relevant Engineering Qualification
• Ideally Apprentice Trained
• Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
• Competent in Heidenhain controls and programming
• Strong understanding of Heidenhain programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
• Able to move offsets
• Able to prove unproven programs, safely
• Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
• Conversant with3 & 5 axis milling machinery (Preferable)
• CAM experience (Preferably EdgeCAM)
• Multi-axis and sub-spindle
• Working to tight tolerances
• Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
• Team Player
• Flexible


CNC Setter Programmer - Shift pattern:

• Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30pm & Friday 07:30am– 12:30pm.
