Position Overview 
 
 The company houses large amount of data from multiple databases. We are looking for an experienced BI analyst/developer, to work closely with the BI Manager, to continue the development of management information for stakeholders at all levels of the business.
 
 This role demands excellent Power BI and SQL skills, and strong communication skills to engage with other departments to enhance their management reporting. You will work as part of a team, but with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for individual work packages. 
 
This role is expected to evolve as business needs expand, potentially encompassing additional analytics responsibilities. It is a fantastic opportunity for a hand’s on and varied role within the data industry and with a company that has strong growth ambitions.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate evolving business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI solutions (apps, dashboards, visuals etc.) for various areas including board pack, financial, KPI and operational reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency through cleansing, transformation, and validation using Power Query and SQL.
  • Maintain and create new SQL views that will feed the reporting.
  • Optimize BI solutions for efficiency and performance.  
  • Produce documentation, and guides for operational teams.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and insights for informed decision making.
  • Integrating new acquisition information into the data warehouse.

Requirements 

  • Proven experience in a related role. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, and strong understanding of DAX programming language. 
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems. 
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and creating data models that utilise these. 
  • Ability to self-learn and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience managing multiple requests and stakeholder expectations.
