We are looking for an experienced Corporate Risk Manager , someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment.

The main purpose of this role will be to help manage and support the Risk and Assurance team to provide a risk management service across the Speedy Group.

This is an amazing opportunity in helping the group to achieve its objectives and embedding risk processes which will allow management to monitor and report on risk activities on a consistent basis.

What you’ll need:

  • Relevant professional qualification (CCAB/CMIIA or equivalent) preferred or otherwise relevant risk management qualification. 
  • Previous experience of risk management role preferred.
  • Understanding of control frameworks and ability to identify key risks and controls.
  • Can identify and articulate the key risks of a business demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Shows intelligence and pragmatism in developing commercially viable solutions.
  • Can build effective working relationships with senior management demonstrating confidence.
  • Strong business acumen with a continued initiative to keep on top of world events and the wider macroenvironment, building on their peer and wider external networks. 
  • Adaptable to change showing strong pragmaticism in an ever-evolving business.
  • Writes accurate, well-presented reports for senior management.
  • Ability to escalate key actions and risks to senior management and the Head of Risk & Assurance, where relevant. 
  • Demonstrates tenacity in the face of challenge.
  • Strong team player with the vision to work together to deliver the best outcomes for the team.
  • Sound people management skills with the personality to motivate and inspire.
  • Good planning and organisation skills essential, able to demonstrate ability to work to strict deadlines to produce reports and results.
  • Trusted individual in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
