We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Business Partner for our brand new state-of-the-art distribution centre based at the Omega Business Park, located off Junction 8 on the M62 is due to become operational in early 2025. This facility stands as the UK's first of its kind. With its cutting-edge automation, it promises unparalleled efficiency and speed in handling goods ensuring our store network is fully supported..

As the backbone of our safety operations, you'll be responsible for defining and implementing safety standards that ensure our distribution centre are a place where everyone can thrive safely.

• Up to £57,000 depending on experience.
• Based at our brand-new distribution centre in Omega.
• 5.6 weeks paid holiday per annum, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years’ service

• Implement safety policy and standards to ensure safe operations in the distribution centre’s and engineering operations.
• Simplify compliance processes to reduce accidents and injuries, promoting operator accountability for safety risk management.
• Ensure operational policies and procedures are simple, effective, and fit for purpose.
• Partner with the distribution centres senior management team, providing feedback, information, and advice.
• Proactively identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrate that health and safety management is about care, not just compliance.

• Degree-level science qualification in a related subject
• Postgraduate qualification at minimum diploma level in health & safety / NEBOSH diploma
• Professional qualification, ideally CMIOSH or working towards
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience in related industry
• Experienced in strategic risk management
• Highly effective influencing skills and personal impact
• Accident investigation techniques and ability to make decisions independently in ambiguous situations
• Automation experience
