Purpose of the role:

Providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure that changes meet Business requirements. Define and communicate best practice approaches to Change Management and ensure they are adhered to. Ensure all projects are governed to a consistent standard with project plans, resource plans and other appropriate material in place. Helping to create a high performing Change Team with a ‘can do’ culture. Ensure the Change Team is capable of successfully delivering change through either waterfall, agile or hybrid methodologies

Responsiblitlies:

  • Directly manage and co-ordinate the management of multiple projects, including balancing the priorities of team members and stakeholders with other commitments.
  • Create, manage & implement project plans, plus overseeing & reviewing project plans by the other members of the team.
  • Manage current and forecast future resource demand to ensure the Business has the skills and capability to deliver its strategy.
  • Proactively engage with Change and other teams to influence and shape their thinking / actions to enable project delivery.
  • Collaborate with business operations teams and IT staff to build strong relationships, drive efficiencies, reduce business risk and improve outcomes for our customers.
  • Negotiate with partners at senior level on technical and commercial issues, to ensure delivery is to time, cost and quality.
  • Build relationships with senior management across Calisen to define and manage project workloads and agree prioritisation.
  • Ensure the business operates within, and drive improvements to the Calisen Change Delivery Model.
  • Provide support and challenge as necessary to the Head of Change and IT Director
  • Driving best practice across the Change Team, IT and the wider business
  • Build understanding of the current and future technology landscape and champion innovation across Calisen.

Person Specification:

  • 3 years in Programme Management role leading on large/complex projects.
  • 3 years’ experience personally managing major projects through the full lifecycle
  • Management of a team
  • Leadership of Change activity in a corporate environment
  • Working in agile, waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Working within the energy industry.
  • Microsoft Dynamics Business Applications
