This role is a one year fixed-term contract. 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draughtsperson to join our Architecture and Design team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Architectural Technologist and Head of Architecture and Design in developing detailed drawings for new building projects and maintaining accurate records and modifications for our existing campuses. Utilising advanced software tools like Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Suite, the CAD Draughtsperson will ensure all architectural designs and drawings meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

• Assist in the development of architectural designs and drawings for new building projects using software such as Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
• Update and maintain architectural documentation and drawings for existing buildings within our campuses, ensuring they are accurate and reflect current conditions.
• Collaborate with the Architectural Technologist and Head of Architecture and Design to understand project requirements and contribute to the design process.
• Prepare detailed drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction documents.
• Utilise the Adobe Suite to prepare presentation materials and visualisations to communicate design concepts.
• Ensure all architectural drawings and documents are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with other team members and departments to gather information and resolve any potential design conflicts.
• Maintain an organised archive of all architectural drawings and documents.

• Holds a Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Knowledge and understanding of the drawings and change control process. Working alongside the design manager and projects team produce.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the use of drawing packages and applications such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of how to develop designs to meet changing demands and requirements within the industry.
